About Sam
I provide person-centred care. Every person I work with is treated with dignity, respect and compassion. Person-centred care involves working with people beyond their condition, situation or diagnosis.
My approach is about respecting that people often know what is best for them, and my role as supporting people realise what that is, and collaboratively working out a plan for how to realise it.
This includes people who have experienced trauma. When provided with the right conditions, people’s mind and body instinctively know how to recover if provided the right conditions.

About Connect SEWB
“Connect Social & Emotional Wellbeing Pty Ltd (Connect SEWB) is a multi-disciplinary organisation dedicated to providing culturally informed psychological treatment, trauma-informed counselling, and support services, particularly focused on the Yolŋu people in Northeast Arnhem Land (NEAL), Australia. The organisation emphasises the importance of culturally appropriate care, employing Yolŋu cultural advisors and translators to ensure effective service delivery and better outcomes for the Yolŋu community.
Connect SEWB offers a range of services, including individual and group therapy, psychological assessments, and consultancy on topics like trauma-informed care and managing psychological complexity in cross-cultural settings. The organisation is also involved in collaborative projects with institutions such as Charles Darwin University to develop cultural competency resources aimed at improving health service delivery for Aboriginal people in remote regions.
One of their notable projects is the Guṉdirr initiative, which provides resources to help non-Indigenous health professionals work effectively with Yolŋu clients by enhancing cultural understanding and improving mental health outcomes in the region. For more detailed information, you can visit their website or the Guṉdirr project page.”
